The Arizona Professional Towing & Recovery Association (APTRA) is a 501 C (6) trade association that represents its members before the state legislature, regulatory agencies, and the National Towing Association. Established in 1982, APTRA has grown to become the leading voice for towing professionals in the state of Arizona.

Promoting Safety and Awareness

At APTRA, we are committed to promoting safety and raising awareness for the dangers facing tow operators daily. We created National Move Over Day to help increase awareness of the Move Over Law and to decrease the number of responders killed each year. Our #1 mission is to keep our operators safe and create as much awareness for these laws as possible.

Advocating for Your Business

Our lobbying team, Dorn Policy Group, has represented APTRA for over 20 years to ensure that the APTRA has a voice at the state capitol. We have been very successful in passing legislation that benefits your business, such as the storage rate increase in 2022. We consistently fight for your rights at the state level, promoting education, safety laws, and fair compensation for our members.
